A bit more about me ...

Born and raised in South Africa my interest in food started in my grandmother’s kitchen, her old-fashioned, honest cooking and my grandfather’s Italian flair shaped my view of food.


​My kitchen journey started accidentally, but my immediate bond with the staff, the process, and the rush of service cemented my career. My career started in a small town in The Overberg and then we took the big leap and spend 10 years in Australia. I fell in love with this country's wonderful flavors and fresh produce. We've been lucky to travel and are currently spending time in Europe and specifically The Netherlands where again I am blown away by the flavors and beauty of this country.


​I see myself as an artist but a very structured one, I love planning and working towards a goal. In my free time, I love to cook, crochet, read, and when I have the time paint.​I am a mum of three adults children and a beautiful grandchild, I have spent over 20 years in professional kitchens and would love to share some of my knowledge with you.​

I hope to help different people through my site, first-time cooks, Mum out of ideas, or restaurants that need solutions.

I hope to bring passion to your kitchen to create honest food in a friendly, warm atmosphere.
