Cooking a perfect beef burger requires a few simple steps to ensure that it's juicy, flavorful, and cooked to your preferred level of doneness.
Preheat your grill or pan to medium-high heat. If using a grill, oil the grates to prevent the burger from sticking.
Place the patties on the grill or pan, and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a more well-done burger. Avoid pressing down on the patties with a spatula, as it can release the juices and make the burger dry.
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty, if desired, and let it melt.
Toast the buns on the grill or skillet for a few seconds, until lightly golden.
To assemble, place some fresh lettuce on the bun, top with a slice of tomato, some salt & pepper, beef patty, and then your desired toppings! Think of a mushroom or pepper sauce, maybe some mayonnaise or sriracha mayo. The sky is the limit!
Enjoy your delicious and juicy beef burger!
